Teresa,

I'm sorry that happened, it had to hurt. Maybe after sex he decided it was getting to serious for him and wanted out. Maybe he just wanted a challenge to see if he could get you in bed, he got what he wanted and now he's gone. Maybe his feelings just changed. Maybe he didn't like the sex. Or, he found someone you don't know about.

I wish I knew the answer, Teresa. I have just found myself in the exact same situation. I have/am trying to maintain as much distance as possible. How did your situation pan out? What did you do?

So exactly why do men disappear? I dated a guy for two months. He told me everything about himself and when I checked them out, he was telling me the truth. He spent a lot of money on me (I mean a lot of money). The last two weeks of our relationship we decided to have sex, only for him to disappear without saying a word. He had invested lots of time and money on me, and then just disappeared...I don't understand? To my knowledge, he doesn't have another woman in his life, so I don't think that is it. Can someone shed some light on this for me...

Well Barry, to answer your question "What if a man did the things he needed to do to feel comfortable, but didnt leave" the answer is, apparently, that eventually she would divorce him. Me. That was my marriage. Paid all the bills, fathered my kids with great love, took care of the house (albeit slowly), took her out once a week on a date, made lots of time for talking (which she didnt want to do), made sure the basics were well covered. Even gave up sex when she decided she didnt like it, and stuck around another 20 years with nearly zero affection... in return I just wanted a little me time with a classic car I'd adored for years. It appears that was the straw that broke our marriage... some times, Barry, nice guys DO finish last.

BTW: That guy that made the comment about his secretary and getting laid needs to bite the bullet, open his wallet and call 1-900-HappyHooker. Either that or he can buy some lube and let his fingers do the walking... :)
